We built the intelligence service Atlantic Canada didn’t have.
Atlantic Insights Group turns the noise of the regional media and policy environment into intelligence you can actually use.
Why we exist
Atlantic Canada’s political and business environment is complex, multi-jurisdictional, and consequential — four provinces, four governments, four regulatory regimes, and a web of federal mandates layered on top. Decisions made here move budgets, reputations, and strategies for organizations well beyond the region.
Yet the region has never had a dedicated intelligence service to match. The national players cover Atlantic Canada episodically, because the market is too small for their model. The monitoring giants sell data without regional context. And so most organizations operate reactively — finding out what happened after it already has.
Atlantic Insights Group exists to change that. We are a media and public intelligence firm, purpose-built for this region, delivering the situational awareness organizations can’t build for themselves.
Data is the input. Intelligence is the output.
We run enterprise-grade monitoring infrastructure that aggregates and analyzes more than 150 million sources — news, broadcast, social, podcasts, forums, print, and more — with AI-powered sentiment analysis, trend detection, and spike alerts.
But the platform is just the input. What clients pay for is the interpretation layer on top of it: the regional expertise, the political and policy context, and the communications judgment that turns raw volume into decision-ready intelligence.
Who’s behind it
Atlantic Insights Group is led by founder and principal Chad Peters — an ICD.D-designated director, Strategic Communications Management Professional (SCMP), and IAP2-certified public participation practitioner with more than two decades advising across energy, mining, higher education, municipal governance, healthcare, and provincial governments in Atlantic Canada. He has chaired the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce and served as a transition facilitator in support of New Brunswick's local governance reform.
That combination — active, on-the-ground visibility into the region’s political dynamics, regulatory environments, and stakeholder networks — is what separates AIG from any generic monitoring service. We don’t just tell you what was said. We tell you what it means, and what tends to happen next.
How we work
Regional, not generic. We only cover one thing — Atlantic Canada — and we cover it better than anyone. That focus is the advantage, not the limitation.
Decision-ready. Every product is written to be acted on. No dumps of clippings, no dashboards to babysit. The read, the context, the implication.
Discreet by default. Client work is confidential, and our deliverables are clean AIG work product. What you tell us stays with us; what we produce is yours.
Let’s talk about what you need to see.
